Biggest Winner Series Lakewood
Series Begins Sept. 25, 2008
MultiCare Center For Healthy Living, the YMCA of Tacoma-Pierce County and Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department are launching a new weight loss program called Biggest Winner Series, based off the successful Pierce County's Biggest Winner* community contest.
This twelve week program includes before and after health assessments, individual sessions with a Registered Dietitian and Certified Trainer, nutrition and fitness classes, a twelve week exercise program at the YMCA, and lots of encouragement along the way. Books and materials will be provided and prizes will be rewarded for Biggest Winners. For more information on this program, call 253-403-1503.
Screenings
- Pre and post cholesterol and glucose testing
- Pre and post blood pressure readings at the YMCA
- Pre and post metabolic testing and body composition screening
- Pre and post Personal Wellness Profiles
Nutrition Counseling
As part of the program, you will spend 3 months working with a MultiCare Registered Dietitian.
Other nutrition benefits:
- 9 group classes primarily focused on nutrition
- 3 one-on-one sessions with a Registered Dietitian
- Food and activity journals
- Biggest Loser Calorie Counter Book
- Weekly challenges with chance to win prizes
- Weekly online and in-class tracking of team progress
- Weekly tracking of individual weight loss (shared with individual; not group)
Fitness Counseling
As part of the program, you will receive a 3 month membership to the YMCA.
Other fitness benefits:
- Weekly group workouts lead by a Certified Trainer from the YMCA
- “12 Week Program” at the YMCA with workout tracking / progress by Fit Links
Cost
$389 for non-YMCA member
$299 for YMCA member
(Under $33 a week)
