Children's Therapy Unit Endowment

CTU Hanging2Children’s Therapy Unit (CTU) is truly a unique facility in our community. Its comprehensive, multi-disciplinary treatment model allows children with developmental disabilities to discover their possibilities. Here, our kids receive unparalleled care from speech, physical, and occupational therapies, to psychological services, to our highly unique services of Orthotics, Assistive Technology, and Movement Analysis and Research – all in one building. CTU pediatric specialists treat the whole child, focusing not only on physical skills and developmental milestones, but also on developing self confidence and achieving levels of independence that otherwise would not be possible.

Insurance coverage for our therapies is often limited and as medical costs increase, so does the number of uninsured and demand for our services is on the rise. Unfortunately, meeting each child’s needs costs more than our carefully managed resources and the annual support of donors combined. Without the support available at CTU, it is often difficult for these children to continue in therapy which negatively impacts their ability to participate fully in their schools, neighborhoods, families. This is why the Linda and Phil Yates Endowment for Children’s Therapy Unit makes a difference. CTU families appreciate how philanthropy can bridge the gap, keeping our patients connected to the very best care.

Named for CTU founder, Linda Yates, donations to the Yates Endowment are permanently restricted to CTU Endowmentbenefit CTU in perpetuity. Endowment contributions are invested and just a percentage of the interest is spent annually, ensuring that the endowment continues to grow and continues to help bridge the gap for kids for years to come.
