Watsons

A great friend to Good Samaritan Foundation, Watson’s Greenhouse & Nursery (Puyallup) has generously hosted Tis the Season since its inception in 2002. Founders Dan and Fran Watson also recently led a $100,000 community fundraising campaign for the Areas of Greatest Need at Good Samaritan. The Watsons say they continue to support Good Samaritan because they appreciate the value of a community hospital, especially during times of need. After the premature birth of the Watsons’ grandson, Good Samaritan’s team of experts were there. And when Fran faced a critical illness, the hospital’s nursing and rehabilitation staff helped her recover, in a timeframe she says wouldn’t have been possible anywhere else. We can’t thank them enough for all their support!

Meridian Collision

In celebration of their 40th year in business on South Hill, Meridian Collision Center held a charity pancake breakfast in 2008 to benefit Children’s Therapy Unit at Good Samaritan. With the event under Meridian Collision Phototheir belt and having experienced the thrill of delivering the check to the CTU staff meeting, owner Bill Jorgensen and his sponsors were determined to make an even bigger impact in 2009. With the help of sponsors LDI Automotive Paint and Genuine Auto Glass, Meridian Collision expanded their annual event into a car show and hot dog feed. With more than 200 cars and 400 attendees, the 2009 event was a huge success and Bill and his partners delivered another check, this time for nearly $3,000. As the calendar turned to 2010, Bill and his sponsors are already preparing for this year’s event – with plans to make it bigger and better than ever!

Cascade Regional Blood Services (CRBS)

CRBS is a true partner of Good Samaritan—both as a supporter of our fundraising efforts and as the sole and exclusive provider of blood products and services to Good Samaritan Hospital. As such, CRBS plays a critical role in the care of our patients. Using over 20 percent of the total CRBS blood supply, Good Samaritan depends on CRBS for transfusions and cellular therapies, which CRBS technicians perform at the bedsides of Good Samaritan patients. You can support CRBS, Good Samaritan Hospital and your local community by participating in a blood drive in your neighborhood. Visit crbs.net today to find a donation site near you.
