ECMO Saved Her Heart, Tree House Saved Her Family

Myrka Orellana's only chance of survival was ECMO—a sophisticated procedure involving an artificial heart-lung machine.  Thanks to Mary Bridge Children's Hospital and Tree House, Myrka received this live-saving treatment with her family nearby.

 

TOA Wins City of Destiny Award

On May 10, 2011 the Tacoma Orthopedic Association (TOA) was awarded the 2011 City of Destiny Neighborhood Group or Community Partnership Award for their dedication to the patients of Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital and Health Center. TOA leaders accepted the award at a ceremony at Stadium High School.

 

Washington State Fraternal Order of Eagles

Mary Bridge received more than $132,000 this year from the Eagles' outreach efforts.

Mary Bridge was honored to present the Eagles with the “Bridge Builder Service Award” for 2010.
