Our Story

Your hospital. Your community. Your passion.

Patient Care TowerFor over 55 years, Good Samaritan Hospital has provided comprehensive, family-centered care in East Pierce County. The not-for-profit, 225-bed acute care facility receives philanthropic support from Good Samaritan Foundation, which was formed in 2000 with a mission to inspire philanthropic partnerships to advance and enrich an environment of healing and compassionate care. The Foundation raises community awareness and financial support for the amazing services and programs the hospital offers.

No one knows what tomorrow will bring, but Good Samaritan is here should the day come when you or a loved one needs us. As the only hospital in East Pierce County, we are the community’s resource for a wide range of services that cover the needs of a lifetime - from the newborn struggling in our Special Care Nursery to the toddler who needs a specialized leg brace at Children’s Therapy Unit, from the chemo patient receiving a wig and knit hats at the Cancer Resource Center to the stroke survivor learning stress management, from the rehab patient re-learning how to drive to the hospice patient receiving comfort therapies at the end of life. Good Samaritan is here for you and your family.
