Sound Physicians contracts with Good Samaritan Hospital to provide Hospitalist services. The Good Samaritan Hospitalist Program
is designed to support your primary care physician by allowing him or her to focus on seeing patients in their office.
What is a Hospitalist?
A Hospitalist is specialized in care of the hospitalized patient and bridge the gap between hospital care and your referring physician. These Hospitalists partner with physicians throughout the region serving as extensions to their practices and providing you the highest level of inpatient hospital care.
How does it work?
When the decision is made to admit a patient to Good Samaritan Hospital, the primary care physician may request that a Hospitalist care for the patient during their stay. If a surgeon or specialist admits a patient, a Hospitalist may also be requested to see the patient in consultation. Upon discharge, all follow-up care is transferred back to your primary care physicians. www.soundphysicians.com
