Breast Health
In a collaborative effort with Franciscan Health System and TRA Medical Imaging, and with support and funding from the Gary E. Milgard Family Foundation, we have worked to create a new, independent, centralized state-of-the-art breast health imaging facility for the benefit of the entire community.
The new non-profit Carol Milgard Breast Center, named to honor the spirit of a long-time Tacoma resident, philanthropist, and 30-year breast cancer survivor, will be uniquely positioned to deliver the highest quality diagnostic care while significantly decreasing screening to diagnosis times.
MultiCare also offers comprehensive breast health services – from education, prevention and screening programs to advanced diagnostics, treatment and support. Choose from convenient locations throughout Pierce and South King counties. It’s all part of our commitment to better breast health for the community.

Breast Health Services Discontinued at Allenmore
MultiCare’s Breast Health Services, currently located in the Allenmore C building, will stop seeing patients after Feb. 6, 2009. After this date, all patient records will be transferred to Tacoma General Hospital.
Requests for patient records can be made by contacting the Tacoma General Records Department at 253-403-2308.
MultiCare will continue to offer screening and other services in Auburn, Covington and Gig Harbor.
