MultiCare Nurse Camp - July 19-22, 2011

Your chance for an up-close look at nursing and allied health careers.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a nurse or allied health professional? MultiCare’s Summer Nurse Camp is your chance to explore this exciting career— and it’s absolutely free!

At Nurse Camp, you’ll join professional nurses and other allied health care providers as they care for patients in the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and surgical care areas. You’ll observe actual operations and participate in mock emergencies. In short, you’ll get a firsthand, behind the scenes look at the multi-faceted world of nursing.

Nurse Camp offers four full days of education, observation and participation in the daily activities of professional nurses. Day Four is Graduation Day, complete with a ceremony and certificates.

At the end of Nurse Camp, you’ll walk away with a CPR First Aid certification, a pair of nursing scrubs, wonderful memories, and more!

We’re looking for current high school students in Pierce and South King Counties who are interested in a nursing career and motivated to learn more. A maximum of 100 participants will be chosen based on written applications. Your application packet (including recommendations, a personal statement and other documents as outlined on the application checklist) must be received or post dated by Monday, March 14, 2011.
