Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs
Good Samaritan Hospital offers a state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation facility. The facility features 25 inpatient beds, gymnasiums that are extensively equipped for physical therapy and occupational therapy, and a special gym and other facilities for children. Our rehabilitation center is one of the best in the nation. Our outcomes are consistently at or above the national averages.
Patient rooms and therapy areas were designed and built for people with special needs, such as those with spinal cord or brain injuries.
The inpatient unit houses physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, psychology, social work, case management, therapeutic recreation services and a nursing clinic.
We also offer:
- A dining room for clients and their families. The dining room opens to an outside patio.
- A rehabilitation courtyard where clients can practice outdoor activities such as gardening and walking on different types of terrain.
- A rehabilitation apartment to help clients and their families prepare for the transition from the hospital to the home.
Each client’s inpatient rehabilitation program is managed by a physiatrist—a doctor who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
