MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital Names
New Vice President of Patient Care Services
PUYALLUP, WA- MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital is pleased to announce that Marcia Johnson has accepted the position of Vice President, Patient Care Services. Johnson will oversee nursing, surgery, emergency and maternal services for Good Samaritan Hospital. Johnson comes to Good Samaritan from Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue, where she served in a similar capacity for 10 years.
Johnson brings to Good Samaritan a distinguished background in nursing and healthcare management. Early in her career, Johnson served as Director of Nursing and Assistant Administrator for St. Cabrini Hospital, and also worked at the corporate office of the Sisters of Providence, both in Seattle. In addition, she has held adjunct clinical faculty positions at Pacific Lutheran University School of Nursing, the University of Washington School of Nursing – Tacoma, and Seattle Pacific University. She is active in the Northwest Organization of Nurse Executives and is a past president.
Johnson holds a Master of Health Administration & Planning, a Master of Nursing and a BS in Nursing from the University of Washington. She is also a graduate of the Executive Development Program of the University of Illinois, American Hospital Association.
