Diagnostic Imaging Northwest Marks One-Year Anniversary
EAST PIERCE COUNTY, WA- Diagnostic Imaging Northwest (DINW) celebrated its one-year anniversary on Dec. 1, 2009. This alliance between MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital and Medical Imaging Northwest has provided a successful collaborative venture for non-emergent outpatient imaging services, serving patients and referring providers in the East Pierce County region.
“Diagnostic Imaging Northwest has truly brought resources, information and access to the community,” said Andrew Levine, MD, Chair, Medical Imaging Northwest. “We all work together to provide a better connected medical community for the patients and the medical professionals.”
DINW now operates three fully digital imaging centers: Puyallup Imaging Center in downtown Puyallup, Sunrise Imaging Center at South Hill and Bonney Lake Imaging Center in Bonney Lake. These sites are equipped with leading-edge imaging technologies, including high field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), radiography and fluoroscopy, interventional radiology, ultrasound, digital mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, ultrasound-guided breast biopsy and bone densitometry.
In the past year, DINW has added the following equipment to the network:
• 3 - GE Logic E9 Ultrasound Machines
• 1 - Senographe Essential Digital Mammography Unit
• 1 - GE Essential Digital Mammography Unit with Stereotactic biopsy capability
• 1 - GE Prodigy Dexa Machine
• 1 - CMT Digital Radiographic room
In addition, Creatinine STAT Lab Services and Vascular Ultrasound have been added for greater ease in patient care and referring doctor’s needs.
“Planning the vision and strategy for Diagnostic Imaging Northwest built a strong foundation for this partnership,” said John Long, President, MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital. “We are all on the same team working towards a common goal: improving patient care.”
