MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital unveils Dally Tower
A celebration to honor Ray and Deanna Dally's generous support of MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital culminated Tuesday with the unveiling of the name Dally Tower on the new building's exterior.
Renaming the 357,000-square-foot tower, which opened Feb. 17, recognizes the Dally family’s decades of volunteer service and philanthropic support of the not-for-profit Puyallup hospital. The Dally's $5 million gift, meant to inspire others to join them in support of the hospital’s service to the community, has indeed inspired new gifts to The Campaign for Good Samaritan Hospital.
In a morning ceremony, MultiCare Health System President and CEO Diane Cecchettini and Good Samaritan Hospital President Glenn Kasman praised the Dally family for the generous donation, which allows Good Samaritan to truly bring 21st Century medicine to our community and continue to move toward our vision of being the trusted regional medical center of choice for every person in East Pierce County.
Ray Dally, a retired developer, is one of the co-chairs of The Campaign for Good Samaritan Hospital, a fundraising effort launched in 2008. The Dally gift propelled the campaign past the original goal of $10 million to a current total that exceeds $12.6 million.
While the original campaign goal has been surpassed, there is such great momentum and excitement around the hospital’s opening that the campaign will continue until the Community Garden opens in late summer next to the tower. Additional gifts will allow the advanced medical technologies such as Smart Boards put into the new tower to be expanded into existing patient rooms in the existing hospital pavilions.
When the Foundation Board of Trustees launched the fundraising campaign for Good Samaritan’s new tower, they never imagined the incredible response to come. Funds raised by the campaign go to support technological advancements and environment of care enhancements.

Radio Frequency Identification to track equipment, streamline workflows and improve patient care.
