Pediatric Orthopedics

Bball 2When the entire body of a young patient is still growing, developing and changing, the approach to orthopedic care must be very specialized. Treating a leg fracture takes into account the age of the child, the anticipated growth over the course of treatment and recovery and adjustments are made to ensure normal growth and development is not interrupted.

Fractures are one small part of the MultiCare Pediatric Orthopedics practice. Identifying, treating and managing physical deformities or conditions that hinder a child’s growth are important parts of our work. We also see pediatric patients for sports-related injuries, orthopedic trauma and conditions such as scoliosis. Our physicians, nurses and therapists at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital & Health Center work closely with every family, providing expert, attentive care.
