Visitor Guide

Visiting Hours

We welcome all members of our community, and especially those who have come to visit a friend or family member in our hospital. When visiting your family or friends, please keep the following in mind:

  • Please try to visit between 11am and 8pm to allow sufficient time for the patient’s rest.
  • We encourage only two visitors at a time for 15-minute periods.
  • Immediate family members may visit at any time after consultation with the patient’s nurse.
  • In rooms with more than one patient, please be considerate of the privacy and needs of the other patient.
  • For patients undergoing surgery, there is a two-person limit while waiting for patients coming out of the operating room or for other procedures.
  • In the interest of health and safety for our patients, staff and visitors, we maintain a smoke-free environment. All patients, guests and employees are prohibited from smoking within the hospital.


Some units have more restricted visiting hours:

Obstetrical unit

  • Fathers may visit at any time.
  • Other than siblings, no one under 14 years old is permitted in the obstetrical unit.
  • For other visitors, the same guidelines apply as previously indicated.
Intensive care unit
Visits in the intensive care unit are limited to immediate family members for five-minute periods each hour.

Guest waiting areas/lobbies
Waiting areas are located on every floor.

Starbucks at Good Samaritan

Starbucks Coffee offers a full beverage menu- including espresso drinks, brewed coffees, Frappaccino® blended beverages, and Tazo® tea, as well as, pastries and other baked selections. Starbucks® merchandise, including mugs, CDs and other gift items are also available.
