After Your Baby Is Born
Once your baby is born, you'll be able to rest, recover and celebrate your new baby before leaving the
hospital. We provide everything you need to ensure your hospital stay is safe and comfortable, your recovery complete, and that you’re confident in your new role as a parent.
Close to Mom – While you’re in the hospital, your baby will sleep in your room and spend as much quality-time as possible with you. Mom and baby will each have a nurse dedicated to take care of all your needs.
Lactation Services – If you choose to breastfeed, we’ll provide all the assistance you need to get you started right.
Mom & Baby Boutique – Our convenient boutique at Tacoma General Hospital offers everything a new mom needs, from nursing bras to massages and a wonderful array of gift items.
Twinkle, Twinkle Little Store – Celebrate the arrival of the new little one in your life with a gift from Twinkle Twinkle Little Store. Located in the lobby of the Family Birth Center at Good Samaritan Hospital, the store specializes in baby clothes, accessories and fun, playful additions for a baby's room.
Professional Photography –Your baby’s photos will be posted on a secure website. Then you can share them with out-of-town family and friends simply by sending an email announcement, or order prints to take home with you.
Security – You will have piece of mind knowing that you and your baby are safe. Security measures ensure that babies do not leave the secured unit.
On Going Care for Your Baby – At MultiCare, we continue caring for your baby through Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital & Health Center and the Pediatric Unit at Good Samaritan Hospital.
