Baby Frankie
Frankie Potis was just nine months old when he was diagnosed with leukemia and began treatment at
Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital & Health Center. A few months later, after a bone marrow transplant and brave battle with this disease, Frankie passed away.
Frankie’s Fund provides ongoing support for the Oncology Family Support Fund. It offers a crucial lifeline to families with a child being treated for cancer at Mary Bridge. For many families in our community, Frankie’s Fund is the support that keeps them in their home with the power turned on and the phones working. This fund isn’t just for the impoverished. It often helps families who find themselves in a financial crisis when income is lost due to missed work, an extended leave of absence, or when one parent must stop working to care for their child.
From Frankie’s parents, Frank & Kelly
Frankie will remain in our hearts forever and ever. Through the “Frankie’s Fund” we established with Mary Bridge several years ago, our little boy can bring smiles and comfort to other seriously ill children … with your help.
Our family struggled financially and emotionally to make sure we were there for Frankie. “Frankie’s Fund” is now ready to help families in any way it can so that their children can have mom or dad at their bedside as much as possible.
Because of gifts from people like you, a sick child is being held and comforted at the hospital by his mom and dad tonight. Your kindness and caring are as precious as your gift and mean more than words can say to these brave children and their families. Thank you so much for caring. Thank you for supporting “Frankie’s Fund.”
