Good Samaritan also provides opportunities to reduce the employees’ taxes. The employee may pay for dependent medical, dependent dental and long-term disability premiums before income tax and Social Security taxes are withheld from the paycheck. This decreases the employees’ taxable income and therefore decreases taxes paid. Our healthcare reimbursement accounts, if selected by employees, also reduce taxable income.
Note: The plan sponsor makes no promise to continue these benefits in the future. Retirement does not give any retiree any vested right to continue plan benefits. The plan sponsors reserve the right to amend, modify, revoke or terminate the plan, in whole or part, at any time. There may be some differences in benefits based upon different employee groups.
