The Campaign for Good Samaritan
As our community grows, so does Good Samaritan. With a nine story patient care tower under construction, Good Samaritan’s campus is changing daily. The three year construction project is funded through a combination of bond financing and positive surpluses totaling $400 million. However, with borrowing at its maximum, many advancements inside of the Patient Care Tower had to be excluded from the project.
The Good Samaritan Foundation Board of Trustees answered this challenge with the launch of a $10 million community campaign to fund a series of key advancements in the areas of clinical care, technology and environment of care. These advancements will provide a margin of excellence in the quality of health care delivered at Good Samaritan. It is truly not possible to fund them without philanthropic support from our community.
The Campaign for Good Samaritan gives you an opportunity to make a personal investment in Making Good Samaritan Great, by helping to make possible the following enhancements:
- Advanced Medical Technologies
- Robotic surgery system
- Fully integrated operating rooms
- Image-guided surgical navigation system
- Smart rooms
- Environment of Care Enhancements
- Water feature in the new main entry circle
- Gardens
- Chapel/meditation room
- Relaxation ceilings in MRI and CT diagnostic rooms
- Heritage Hall, capturing the history of Good Samaritan
Funding for the enhancements to the new tower began in 2008 with gifts from Good Samaritan’s “family”, including board members, employees, volunteer groups and some physician groups. Having raised over four million dollars towards the ten million dollar goal this year, we are well on our way to making Good Samaritan GREAT!
