Based on the parenting philosophy that allows children to live with the consequences of their choices, while giving guidance and support with love. 6-week class, 6:30-8:30 pm. $59/person. Text included.

The Love and Logic Philosophy:
- Love allows children to grow through mistakes.
- Logic allows them to live with the consequences of their choices while parents are there to guide and support in a loving way.
- How to give a child appropriate choices
- How to avoid power struggles
- How to model appropriate behavior
- How to turn your words into gold by using enforceable statements (rather than nagging or threats)
- How to let equal parts of empathy and consequences do the teaching
MultiCare and Bates College have partnered to teach Becoming A Love and Logic Parent. Classes are held at MultiCare sites; fees are paid to Bates.
Parenting with Love and Logic helps parents build positive relationships with their children. Some of the things you will learn in the Becoming a Love and Logic Parent classes:
