Community Investment
As 2009 drew to a close, the effects of the global recession began to be felt across the country, and close to home. Although MultiCare was not immune to those effects, we are grateful to have been able to continue to reach out to the community during a time in which more people than ever needed care and support. Our dedication to providing that support as we move into the future remains steadfast.2010 Community Benefit Summary

Nurse Camp

MultiCare’s Nurse Camp was created to reach out to the diverse youth of our community, show them the wide range of career choices in health care and nurture the next generation of nurses and health care professionals.
“Prior to Nurse Camp, I only thought of being ‘a nurse,’” says Spanaway Lake High School graduate Oksana Nahtka, a Nurse Camp participant. “It really helped me see all the different possibilities. It was an amazing experience.”
