Comprehensive Care Close to Home
The Dr. Richard C. Ostenson Cancer Center at Good Samaritan embraces a holistic, patient-centered
style of cancer care. This method helps make treatment as convenient and soothing as possible for men and women facing one of life’s most frightening experiences.
Within steps, patients are in touch with medical services including chemotherapy, radiation treatment, access to clinical trials, infusions, diagnostic imaging, home health and hospice, and symptom management. This team approach involves physicians, nurses, pharmacists, nutritionists, social workers and many other experts.
To facilitate the total care of each patient, the Center also offers support services including an education and resource center, nutritional counseling, psychosocial programs, support groups, pastoral care and a lending library.
There are many benefits to this holistic, patient-centered style of cancer care. Most importantly, the Dr. Richard C. Ostenson Cancer Center at Good Samaritan allows patients to receive advanced care close to home, avoid stressful travel between multiple office locations, and fight this disease with the nearby support of family and friends.
