Critical Care Nursing
MultiCare offers critical care nursing opportunities at all four of our hospitals. Here is more information about each of them.
TACOMA GENERAL HOSPITAL
This Level II trauma center includes 85 beds designated for critical care patients. The 13-bed Cardiovascular ICU cares for cardiac surgery and MI patients. Another 25 beds in the Cardiac Care Unit are available for CHF, Post Acute MI, Post Cath Lab and MI rule-out cases. Other critical care resources include a nine-bed Neuro ICU, 18-bed Med/Surg ICU and 20-bed Intermediate Care Transfer Unit.
MARY BRIDGE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
Co-located with Tacoma General, Mary Bridge is the only pediatric hospital serving Southwest Washington. Level II trauma care is provided our growing Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
GOOD SAMARITAN HOSPITAL
Located in Puyallup, this growing community hospital includes a 40-bed acuity-adaptable Critical Care Center where the most common cases include sepsis, stroke, pneumonia, CHF and COPD. Another 30 beds are dedicated to the Cardiac Unit where the focus is on Post Cath Lab cases and on ruling out MIs.
ALLENMORE HOSPITAL
This six-bed unit serves patients with pneumonia or those who have suffered a heart attack or stroke.
AUBURN MEDICAL CENTER
Located in Auburn, this growing hospital includes a 10 bed Intensive Care Unit. The Critical Care Unit has 32 beds.
