The Dr. Richard C. Ostenson Cancer Center
Leading the Way for Regional Cancer Care
When cancer strikes, our job is to treat it and defeat it. That’s why Good Samaritan has built a cancer care program that is among the most comprehensive and respected in the Pacific Northwest. It combines advanced medicine, expertise, and technology—as well as a great deal of compassion and encouragement.
The $16 million Dr. Richard C. Ostenson Cancer Center at Good Samaritan offers some of the world’s most advanced cancer-fighting diagnostic technology, and comprehensive support services for patients and families.
The Dr. Richard C. Ostenson Cancer Center at Good Samaritan has been built on the strengths of four partnering organizations: MultiCare Health System, Good Samaritan Hospital, Rainier Physicians and Tacoma Valley Radiation Oncology. By combining the expertise and technologies of these three partners, patients have access to some of the most comprehensive services available anywhere including diagnosis, treatment and support.

“When I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 39, I was shocked. I never thought I’d be the one who needed the new Cancer Center, but here I am. I think it will be a big benefit to patients like me because when you get the diagnosis, you want to make things as easy and close as possible.”
