Employee Health
Please read the following information carefully so you are prepared for your appointment.
What you should bring:
- Past immunization records or shot records from previous employers, schools, health care organizations and doctors.
- Any laboratory testing that would prove immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (chicken pox) and Hepatitis B.
- Proof of one TB skin test within one year of your hire date or QuantiFERON lab test with the last year. If you have a history of past positive TB status, bring all documentation available at the time of this appointment.
If you are missing any of the above documentation, Employee Health will re-test you at no cost.
What we will do at this appointment:
- A comprehensive review of all documents you have provided.
- Color vision test, vital signs, height and weight.
- You may be required to provide a Medical Clearance for a current or past history of disease or illness, depending on your position.
- You will spend approximately 30-45 minutes with the Registered Nurse who may draw your blood and design a plan to complete all testing within three weeks of your start date.

Employee Health is located in the basement of Jackson Hall.
Jackson Hall is directly across the street from the main entrance to Tacoma General Hospital.
