Employment Drug Testing

The use of drugs and alcohol seriously impairs an employee’s judgment and ability, placing at risk the safety and well-being of the employee as well as that of co-workers and customers. Most employers have a no-tolerance policy in place to maintain a drug-free workplace.

The MultiCare HealthWorks program assists businesses in screening for drug and alcohol use. Samples are collected and processed in strict compliance with federal standards.

Standard Drug Testing

• Post job-offer
• Pre-employment
• Random (consortium program offered)
• For cause
• Post-injury
• Federal drug testing – DOT, FAA, merchant marine, rail

Rapid Result Testing (Express Test™ Method)

• Non-DOT drug screens
• Negative results reported within 24-72 hours
• Positive confirmations within 3-5 business days

Medical Review Officer (MRO)

• Certified MROs available for drug screen interpretation

Breath Alcohol Testing

• Administered by a certified Breath and Alcohol Technician (BAT)
• Evidential Breathalyzer Testing (EBT) in compliance with federal standards
