How do the people who support me with monetary donations get acknowledged?
Anyone who donates online, either to your personal fundraising page or makes a general donation to the event, receives an acknowledgement for their generous gift via an email. If you are filling out the hardcopy pledge form and collecting checks and credit card information from the donors, please click here to print out a donation receipt for your donors. Checks can be made out to Good Samaritan Foundation.
Strollers and Dogs:
Strollers are allowed; please be aware there are spots of gravel and rough terrain along the route.
Dogs are welcome, but must be on leashes.
Carpool and be sure to give yourself enough time to park! Parking at The Old Cannery is not available. If you are participating as a walker, please park at the Sumner train station or along any of the city streets, except Main Street, which will be closed to parking for the morning.
All walkers will receive an official, long-sleeved, Come Walk With Me shirt. Shirts sizes for day-of-race registrants are not guaranteed, and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Free children registrants, ages 4 and under, will not be provided an event shirt.
Come Walk With Me raises funds for breast health programs at MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, Wash. In partnership with Diagnostic Imaging Northwest, the walk supports Her Peace of Mind, a mammography voucher program for woman needing assistance in paying for their mammograms. Funds raised also provide support services in community education and outreach in an effort to save lives and ease the journey for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients.
Who is eligible for the Kids 50 yard dash?
All children 10 and under can participate in the Woodcreek Pediatrics Kids 50 yard dash at 8:30 a.m. for free. Kids participating in the Kids Dash, do not need to check-in at the event; the DJ will make an announcement for all kids to line up at the bridge (corner of Traffic and Main). The Kids Dash participants receive a special award for participating.
October mornings can be quite chilly; wear extra layers prior to the race while checking-in and browsing Vendor Village. Clothing check will be available for you to leave your extra layers during the walk and pic- up afterward.

The Breakfast Show will begin around 9:20am; there will be pink pancakes, juice, fruit and entertainment!
Can I run?
Yes, of course, run to your heart's desire. However, please be aware that there are no timing chips and no awards given at this event.
