Walk the Puyallup

Why Walk the Puyallup?
Walk the Puyallup is the YMCAs kick-off event to America On the Move week — a national movement that encourages everyone to take small steps toward a healthier way of life. We will track both the number of people that participate and the number of steps taken by participants. Our goal is to reach two million steps. We can get there with your help! Help us reach our goal. Walk the Puyallup!

Where?
Kick-off in SillyVille (Purple Gate entrance) of the Puyallup Fairgrounds

When?
September 20, 2008
Kick-off at 9:30am
Tickets valid for entrance between 9:30am-noon on September 20.

What will be happening?
At the kick-off participants will receive a free T-shirt and pedometer along with an envelope with a map of the fairgrounds and directions/clues to their first activity station. After completing the activity, participants will get another envelope directing them to their next station. The YMCA will have 6 stations around the fairgrounds. Your goal is to visit each station, complete the activity and turn in the number of steps you took along the way to our main YMCA booth in Sillyville.

All participants who turn in their steps will be entered into a drawing for a FREE 1 Year YMCA membership!
