FAQ
How will I be billed?
You will receive a bill for imaging services from MultiCare Health System, which includes fees for the technologists, equipment and supplies involved in your procedure.
Please note that you will receive a separate bill for your Radiologist's services. The Radiologist is a specially trained physician who supervises and interprets your images.
When do I receive the results of my test?
As soon as your images are interpreted by one of our Radiologists, the results will be sent to your doctor(s). Your doctor will then share the results of your exam with you. Technologists and staff are not permitted to provide results to patients.
How can I obtain copies of my medical imaging exams?
To obtain copies of your imaging exams please call the Imaging Records Management Department directly. We can send studies directly to your provider or you can pick them up in the Imaging Records Management Department located at Tacoma General Hospital, Allenmore C Building and in Covington MultiCare Clinic.
For personal copies of your imaging exams you will also need to call the Imaging Records Management Department directly. You can purchase a CD of your Imaging studies for $25 per CD. When picking up your imaging studies you will need to bring a picture ID and the name of the provider to whom you are taking the studies.
In order to provide copies of imaging studies to an immediate family member, the Imaging Records Management Department must have an “Authorization for MultiCare to Use and Disclose My Health Care Information” form signed by the patient. The form can be obtained from Imaging Records Management Department.
Do you offer daycare?
For your safety and the safety of your children, please make arrangements for someone to care for your children during your scheduled appointment time. If you are unable to find care for them please call and reschedule your appointment.
