FAQsHow do I register for a class?
MultiCare employees can self-register for most courses online through the Learning Management System (LMS), accessible via MHSnet or through the Employee Resource Center. Employees may also contact the ILD at email@example.com or 253-403-1280 to register for courses.
How will I know if I am registered for a class?
You will receive an automated email confirmation from the LMS upon registration. You can also visit your learner page in the LMS to view currently assigned activities.
How do I find course dates and times?
You can find course dates, times and locations on MHSnet from the ILD Homepage (click “Classes and Workshops”). You can also search the online catalog which can be found in the LMS from your learner page.
Do I need supervisor approval to attend educational programs?
Supervisor approval is required to attend all programs during scheduled work time. Paid education time is at the discretion of your supervisor.
Who do I call if I have a question about a program?
The ILD is your resource for questions about employee education. Contact the ILD at firstname.lastname@example.org or 253-403-1280 for assistance and questions about programs.
How do I obtain program materials?
If you are attending a program that has pre-work, you will be informed at registration. For book check out and Life Safety class material, please visit the Wagner Library at Tacoma General or the ILD office at Good Samaritan.
How do I select a program that is best for me?
The ILD Service Center Team is available to help you choose a program that addresses your individual needs.
How do I cancel a class I am registered for?
Cancellations are accepted up to three days prior to the course start date. You can cancel your registration through your learner page in the LMS by clicking on that activity and selecting the cancellation icon.
What if I am late for my class?
Your seat is held for 10 minutes after the posted start time. If you are more that 10 minutes late, you may be required to reschedule your class.
What if I want an educator to present a customized class to my staff?
If you would like a custom class, please visit ILD home page on MHSnet and fill out an Education Request form. This form can be found under the Quick Links list. An educator will contact you once they have been assigned to your request.
How can I receive a list of classes(transcript) that I have attended through MultiCare?
You can visit your learner page in the LMS and select "View My Training Transcript" listed under "Getting Started" on the left side navigation. You may also view your MHS transcript through the Employee Resource Center.
