Gale and Anne Katterhagen

Gale and Anne Katterhagen understood the needs of cancer patients in a way few could. They wereKatterhagens immersed in it professionally and experienced it personally. As a physician, Gale dedicated his life’s work to the disease that would ultimately take his life. Anne too has made a profound difference in the lives of cancer patients by founding Hospice of Tacoma. It was only natural that the Katterhagen Cancer Resource Center was established in their honor.

Located conveniently adjacent to the 3L Oncology Clinic at Tacoma General Hospital, the center is a central source of cancer-related information – a place where patients can come to research the many aspects of their disease and get all the necessary information they need. Patients and their families have access to information, community resources, support services, and quality of life programs.
