Go Red For Women
Tacoma-Seattle-Bellevue area is "Heart Friendly"
The American Heart Association's Go Red for Women movement recently released a study revealing the nation's top 10 most heart-friendly cities for women, and the Tacoma-Seattle-Bellevue metro area ranked No. 6. But the study also revealed that our region has one of the lowest scores when it comes to women receiving recent checkups.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women - and men - in the nation. Routine checkups, such as a Women's HeartAdvantage screening, are the best way to detect risks or problems early on.
MultiCare is proud to partner with the American Heart Association on Pierce County Goes Red, a yearlong initiative to help educate women and give them the tools they need to reduce their risk of heart disease.
HeartAdvantage screenings start at $55. Call the MultiCare Women's Heart Center and schedule your Women's HeartAdvantage screening today: 800-342-9919.
