How You Can Help

The renovation and opening of Tree House: A Place for Families was made possible by the generous support of numerous donors, as well as through funds raised through the Mary Bridge Festival of Trees events for the last several years.

Family housing requires ongoing support for maintenance and upkeep, to ensure that families are staying in clean, comfortable, safe spaces. Your donations to Tree House provide support for:

  • Building maintenance
  • Housekeeping
  • Linen services
  • Stocking rooms with kitchen and bath items
  • Maintaining common area resources such as movie library, books, and so on

Tree House is Registered!

There are still a number of items that we need to get Tree House ready to welcome families at the end of June. Every day items that will make Tree House a home away from home. If you would like to help us, consider a virtual housewarming gift through our Target gift registry.

Tree House is registered at Target and our registry, which is available online, includes a current list of household and other items we still need. It's easy to make a purchase* and all purchases are delivered right to Tree House's front door.

We are so grateful for the support of our community as we put the finishing touches on this new sanctuary for families in crisis.

Please call the Office of Philanthropy at 253-403-4596 if you have any questions or need more information.

*All gifts are tax-deductible.

Volunteer at Tree House

Volunteers are essential to keeping Tree House running smoothly.  Most importantly volunteers provide a warm welcome to parents who are physically and emotionally exhausted.

There are a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for both individuals and groups at Tree House.  Some example of things individual volunteers can do are: answer phones, check-in families, orient new families to the facility, be a kitchen supervisor, re-stock the pantry, assist families in the Resource Room, play with siblings in the playroom and much more.

Groups can do things like cook a meal for our Family Meal program (beginning this fall), do conduct a food drive for the pantry, do conduct a necessities drive for sample size toiletries, host a movie night for the families.  The possibilities are wide as your imagination!  If you are willing to share your time and talents we will find the perfect spot for you to volunteer.
