Introduced in 2003, Nurse Camp has grown to include other health care careers such as Pharmacy, Imaging and Physical Therapy. Applications are distributed to local high schools in late fall and are due in March. For more information, contact Liesl Santkuyl at email@example.com or 253-403-1401.
The Medical Explorers program allows you to explore health care careers through hands-on interactions with experienced health care professionals. Medical Explorers also volunteer to help with events such as the annual Festival of Trees and disaster drills. Job shadows involve "shadowing" a professional in a given area of the health system. It gives you the chance to experience career options before deciding on a specific path. It can also help fulfill the career exploration requirements to complete your high school diploma.
