MultiCare-Good Samaritan’s Hospice Dog is inspired by the famed St. Bernards that patrolled the treacherous
mountain pass between Italy and Switzerland, saving travelers who lost their way or became injured.
Living with the monks at the monastery and hospice located in the pass, St. Bernards are credited with saving as many as 2,000 lives over the past 300 years.
