Inpatient Treatment Program
Good Samaritan Hospital offers a state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation facility. The facility features 25 inpatient beds, gymnasiums that are extensively equipped for physical therapy and occupational therapy, and a special gym and other facilities for children.
Patient rooms and therapy areas were designed and built for people with special needs, such as those with spinal cord or brain injuries.
The inpatient unit houses physician offices as well as physical therapy, occupational therapy, social work, case management and therapeutic recreation services.
We also offer:
- A dining room for clients and their families. The dining room opens to an outside patio.
- A rehabilitation courtyard where clients can practice outdoor activities such as gardening and walking on different types of terrain.
- A rehabilitation apartment to help clients and their families prepare for the transition from the hospital to the home.
Each client’s inpatient rehabilitation program is managed by a physiatrist—a doctor who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
