MultiCare is a not-for-profit health care organization with more than 8,900 employees and a
comprehensive network of services throughout Pierce, South King, Thurston and Kitsap counties.We are locally governed by an independent Board of Directors made up of community members.
Our heritage dates back to the founding of Tacoma’s first hospital in 1882. Since then, we have grown to meet the ever-changing needs of our region – always focusing on excellence, innovation, and patient care.
Today MultiCare is made up of four hospitals, numerous outpatient specialty centers, primary and urgent care clinics, and a variety of other services and community outreach programs. Our patients are connected to the most advanced care available and we have been recognized both locally and nationally for the care we provide, our commitment to patients, our investment in technology, and our involvement in our community.
