KOMO-TV grants a Mary Bridge patient one of her top wishes

Young patient's unbridled spirit led to a list of life wishes

10/31/2008

A young Mary Bridge Hospital patient, Kajmere Houchins, age 9, is battling Leukemia. Previously, she has battled Neuroblastoma.

During her stays at Mary Bridge, she made a list of 100 things she would like to do in her life. The list contains many things a little girl loves…tea parties, dress-up, but one the items was “go on a helicopter ride.”

KOMO-TV got a copy of her list and wanted to help her with some of the items on her list. Since they happen to own a helicopter, they figured this was a good fit.

On Wednesday, Oct. 29, one of Kajmere’s wishes was granted. KOMO flew their helicopter to Mary Bridge, picked her up and took her on an aerial tour of the Tacoma Narrows, Commencement Bay and they flew over her house in Federal Way.

The story aired on KOMO 4 News on Thursday, October 30 Click on the link to view the story and see Kajmere’s list.
