Best of 2010 award goes to Emergency Departments, Cancer Center
A MultiCare Health System project has won Northwest Construction Magazine’s Best of 2010 award in the Health Care category.
GBJ Architecture of Portland was honored for its work on the new Emergency Departments at Tacoma General Hospital and Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, and the MultiCare Regional Cancer Center.
The annual competition recognizes construction and design excellence in Washington, Oregon and Alaska. An independent jury of design and construction professionals selected the winning projects in 19 categories.
Last year, MultiCare and GBJ Architecture won the national Best of 2009 award for the Central Utility Plant at MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital. The project was named Best Industrial Project in both the Northwest region and the nation.
This year’s winners will be profiled in detail in the December issue of Northwest Construction. The winner in each category will move on to the national Best of the Best 2010 competition. Those winners will be announced later this year in Engineering News-Record.
