  • Employees Enjoyed The Open House at Our New Cancer Center

    Yesterday, MultiCare staff members visited the new, state-of-the-art Cancer Center, located on the first and fourth floors of Milgard Pavilion.

    The event included self-guided tours, light refreshments and giveaways. Oncology personnel were on hand to describe various features of the new facility, which will begin seeing patients on March 1.

    With the new Cancer Center, patients will have access to the region's best treatment options and the latest technologies that reduce treatment times and side effects as they improve outcomes.

    "This represents Tacoma’s first comprehensive cancer center," said David Nicewonger, Administrator of Oncology. "[It's] a place where all of the services a patient needs will be available under one roof and coordinated under one umbrella of care."

    Mark your calendars: there will a public open house for the new Cancer Center on Saturday, April 10, from noon to 4pm.
