Mary Bridge and Safeway Create Hope with Partnership
TACOMA, WA- A partnership between the Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital Foundation and Safeway Corporation helps families throughout the Pacific Northwest. Safeway has agreed to support Tree House, A Place for Families by fully stocking the facility’s pantry with food and supplies for the next two years.
Tree House, A Place for Families, located just a short block from Mary Bridge and Tacoma General Hospitals, is a housing facility for families of patients staying in the Tacoma General Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Mary Bridge’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Tree House offers sleep rooms, private bathrooms, a resource room, kitchen, and more to offer parents and families a nurturing, restful environment that allows them to focus all of their energies on their beloved child.
“The donation from Safeway of food and supplies is a blessing,” said Frank Colarusso, Executive Director for the Mary Bridge Foundation. “It allows us to use donations from other generous givers for other needed items and services.”
Tree House has helped over 200 families in their time of need since June.
For more information on how to get involved with Tree House, A Place for Families, call 253.403.4596. All gifts are tax-deductible.
