MultiCare employees greet new co-workers at Auburn Medical Center
Diane Cecchettini, RN, President and CEO of MultiCare Health System, walked the halls of MultiCare Auburn Medical Center on Monday morning welcoming the employees to the Tacoma-based health system.
“It’s an exciting day for all of us,” Cecchettini said as she shook hands with the staff in the Auburn Intensive Care Unit. “We are going to do good work together.”
This morning at 12:01 MultiCare completed the purchase of the Auburn Regional Medical Center hospital facility.
Nan Lafave, a nurse in the Outpatient Surgery Unit, told Cecchettini that she and her co-workers were looking forward to working with MultiCare.
"We're saying 'Good MultiCare Morning' to everyone. We are so excited to have you here," she said.
At about 10:45 a.m., Auburn employees and MultiCare executives gathered in the front parking lot outside the hospital to watch as the cover came off the new MultiCare Auburn Medical Center sign.
“Is everybody ready?” Cecchettini shouted at the crowd and then turned and gave the men holding the rope the thumbs up.
The crowd cheered as the sign fell.
