MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital Earns National Consumer Choice
(TACOMA)--Area consumers have once again selected MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital as a preferred hospital for receiving health care. That’s the finding of National Research Corporation (NRC), which has honored Tacoma General with the 2009/10 Consumer Choice award. Tacoma General Hospital first received the distinction in 1996 and has won it twelve times since then.
The National Research Corporation Consumer Choice Award polls the opinions of over 250,000 households across the nation and approximately 750 households locally. Out of 3,200 hospitals nationwide, Tacoma General is one of only 280 hospitals to earn the award.
Based on the views of local consumers, Tacoma General is a highly preferred health care provider for the Tacoma/Pierce County region. In addition, consumers ranked Tacoma General highly in terms of its technology, range of health care services, community health programs and website.MultiCare was also ranked number 6 nationwide in the Top 100 Integrated Health Networks by SDI, Inc. and has earned this distinction more than any other health system in Washington State.
