MultiCare Wins National Award for Best Overall Website
Website Chosen from 1,100 Nationwide Health Care Entries
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Todd Kelley (253) 403-1716
(TACOMA) – MultiCare Health System has won the “Distinction Award for Best Overall Website for a Healthcare System” from eHealthcare Strategy & Trends, the premiere national organization that focuses on the ways leading-edge healthcare organizations use the Internet and technology to achieve their objectives.
MultiCare’s website, www.multicare.org, was judged by a panel of 114 professionals in the health care industry on more than 60 factors. Factors considered in the judging include delivery of strong health content, interactivity, medical care support, integration with the organization's operations, as well as strength of Web design and ease of navigation. MultiCare was awarded the honor from more than 1,100 entries.
Earlier this year, MultiCare and Tacoma-based SiteCrafting created a new website to enhance ease of use and added several new features.
“This award is a true team effort,” said MultiCare Webmaster Angela Gow. “The entire Marketing team at MultiCare and the experts at SiteCrafting and DNA really pulled together to create a website that is user-friendly and informative.”
The award was given at the 12th Annual eHealthcare Leadership Awards on November 11 in Orlando, Florida.
MultiCare is a leading-edge, integrated health organization made up of four hospitals, numerous primary care and urgent care clinics, multi-specialty centers, Hospice and Home Health services, and many other services. A not-for-profit organization based in Tacoma, Washington since 1882, MultiCare has grown over the years in response to community needs. Today we are the area's largest provider of health care services, serving patients at 93 locations in Pierce, South King, Kitsap and Thurston counties.
