All MultiCare primary care providers and various community providers are now participating in the online system.
“Technology is making it easier than ever before to actively participate in our healthcare,” said Elizabeth Neuhalfen, MD, primary care provider at the MultiCare Eatonville clinic. “My Chart, allows patients to easily and securely obtain information about their medical visits and request services online. This not only adds efficiencies to providing care in our clinics, but, more importantly, creates conveniences for our patients.”
My Chart is a component of MultiCare Connect, an electronic health record system used by the clinics and hospitals of MultiCare Health System. This system allows immediate, secure access to a single, comprehensive health record each time a patient visits a MultiCare hospital or doctor. With MultiCare Connect in place, MultiCare is one of only a few health systems in the nation to implement a comprehensive electronic health records system. In fact, MultiCare annually ranks among the "Most Wired" health care organizations in the nation.
MultiCare has been at the leading edge of this technology since the implementation of MultiCare Connect in 1998.
MultiCare Health System includes Tacoma General Hospital, Allenmore Hospital, and Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital & Health Center in Tacoma, Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, and MultiCare Auburn Medical Center; an Emergency Department at MultiCare Covington Medical Center; as well as more than 100 primary care, specialty care and urgent care clinics in Pierce, Thurston, Kitsap and South King counties in the Puget Sound region of Washington state.
