Santa makes early visit to Mary Bridge Children's Health Center
Children at the Mary Bridge Children's Health Center today were treated to some special gifts, thanks to an early visit from Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and their helpers from the Auburn Eagles Aerie 2298.
Santa chatted with children and handed out stuffed animals, full stockings, and yellow backpacks shaped like tropical fish.
Jaelah Masga, 11, and her cousins Isaiah Mesa, 6, and Jasiah Mesa, 3, were among the many children wearing yellow backpacks in the Health Center lobby this morning. They came to Mary Bridge from Bremerton, and said they were happy to receive and early present from Santa.
When asked about his visit to Mary Bridge, Santa said, "I just enjoy children. A friend of mine had a grandson here a few years ago. It's just a way of giving back. It's nice they can go home with something."
The 1,000 yellow fish backpacks were donated by Animal Adventures and delivered to Mary Bridge by Mercer Distribution & Transport in Fife.
