NWS-Seattle issues warning for more lowland snow in Western Washington
UPDATED: Tuesday, December 23, 2008, 9:35 p.m.
The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued another Winter Storm Warning for lowland snow in Western Washington, especially on hills above 500 to 1,000 ft. in elevation. Snow continues to be expected after midnight tonight and continue into the morning hours. Snow will be light at first and become heavy in the morning hours. It will change over to rain/snow mix mid-day in the lowlands and freeze Wednesday evening into Thursday. There will be another round of snow on Christmas Day, which will then be followed by warmer weather by Saturday.
If any additional closures or changes occur, or if any services are impacted, updates will be posted on our Internet site at www.multicare.org, on MHSnet, sent via e-mail and on the Emergency Preparedness Hotline at (253) 403-8677. Attendance and snow policies are posted on MHSnet.
MultiCare policy indicates that employees should make every attempt to report for their shifts and employees should stay at work until their relief arrives. We have no information at this time if the 4X4 group will be available to provide rides for essential staff.
