They’re the days when Gig Harbor High School seniors Alexa DeYoung and Mara Kramer visit to cheer young patients with guitar, ukulele and the healing powers of Taylor Swift.

Mt. View students deliver cheer to kids at Good Samaritan
Staff, parents and students alike agree that Puyallup’s Mt. View Elementary School is a small school with a big heart. So when members of the close-knit community learned that a school employee’s 2-year-old grandson was in the hospital, they knew they had to help, and quickly collected more than 800 toys for children staying in the hospital.

Young Riley Bridge and her parents, Dana and Josh, spent more than a month at MultiCare Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital. Today Riley and Dana are part of a design team charged with making our new Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU ) a better place for kids and the people who love them.
