Nurse Technician Program
The Nurse Technician is a student enrolled in a Registered Nurse program at an accredited school who has completed at least one academic term, which includes a clinical component. The Nurse Technician is responsible for providing direct patient care by applying current health concepts and performing routine duties to the level of academic competence accomplished in the individual’s educational program(s) under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse. This is an entry level nursing position requiring knowledge, judgment, and skill based upon the principles of biological, physiological, behavioral and sociological sciences.
Education and Experience Requirements

Currently enrolled as a student in an accredited school preparing persons to practice as a Registered Nurse and completion of at least one academic term which includes a clinical component.

Documentation of current clinical competencies from completed Nursing School course work.

Compliance with Washington State Nurse Technician criteria.
