Occupational Health Services
MultiCare Centers of Occupational Medicine offer a range of occupational health services. Employers can customize a program to fit their particular workplace needs.
We collect and process samples according to strict federal standards, with positive results reported within 3-5 business days and negative results within 24-72 hours. Our certified medical review officers are always available to consult with you. When drug testing for post-job offers, random, "for-cause", DOT, and non-DOT drug screens, you can eliminate delays in making important decisions by working with the MultiCare Centers of Occupational Medicine.
For-cause and select drug testing services are available 24 hours a day by calling 253-403-8400. We also offer a consortium program for random drug testing.
We help employers meet all regulatory and employment guidelines and quickly communicate results for post-job-offer exams, return-to-work exams, Department of Transportation exams, FAA flight physicals, hearing-loss-rating exams and respirator physicals. We also can work with your company to create a customized physical examination that meets your specific needs.
Another useful tool for lowering health care costs is to prevent illness before it happens. We can tailor an immunization program to meet your needs for world travel, annual flu vaccinations, tetanus, hepatitis-A, hepatitis B, and a variety of other specialized vaccines. These are offered at your worksite or at our Fife location weekdays, 9am to 5:30pm. To schedule flu shots for your worksite, call 253-459-6819 or 888-280-5513.
Because our physicians are trained in occupational medicine and experienced in workers' compensation issues, we treat work-related injuries quickly, minimize lost time, and return employees to work as soon as possible. Expert injury treatment is available on a walk-in, no-appointment-necessary basis at our Fife and Tacoma locations. For treatment after hours, six MultiCare Urgent Care Centers are located throughout Pierce and south King counties, while life-threatening and overnight injuries are treated at
Allenmore or
Tacoma General Hospital emergency departments.
Through MultiCare Rehabilitation Services, we offer complete physical and occupational rehabilitation at our Fife and Tacoma locations to help speed your employees' return to normal function.
We can help your employees recognize and overcome poor health habits and identify risk factors that can lead to increased health care claims and absenteeism. We offer CPR and industrial first-aid training, AED implementation and training, on-site immunizations, flu shots, blood-borne pathogen education and more. Health and wellness programs are offered through the
MultiCare Center For Healthy Living.
