The Research Institutes maintains a robust portfolio and a unique expertise in conducting a variety of cardiology studies. Partnering with the Cardiac Study Center (CSC) in Tacoma, the Institute has conducts cardiology research in the following therapeutic areas:

  • Cardiac Catheterization Lab drug and device
  • Acute Myocardial Infarction
  • Secondary Prevention of Myocardial Infarction
  • Prevention of stroke with Atrial Fibrillation
  • Acute Decompensated Heart Failure and Chronic Heart Failure
  • CT Cardiac Imaging

We are currently seeking individuals to participate in the following cardiology clinical studies:

Diagnosis or Condition: Heart attack more than 30 days ago

Who Can Participate?

Age: 18 yrs or older

Sex: Males and Females

Visits: Event Driven – 19 visits (quarterly) up to 4 years

Stipend: You will be compensated for your time and travel

Diagnosis or Condition: Heart attack within the last 30 days

Who Can Participate?

Age: 18 years or older

Sex: Males and Females

Visits: Up to 16 visits over three years; event driven

Stipend: You will be compensated for your time and travel

Diagnosis or Condition: Heart attack more than 12 months but within 3 years from the event

Who Can Participate?

Age: 18 years or older

Sex: Males and Females

Visits: Event driven, visits every 4 months the first year, then every six months thereafter - trial will continue until events met

Diagnosis or Condition: Coronary Heart Failure

Purpose: To compare a unique investigational agent with a dual mechanism of action, LCZ696, to enalapril in patients with chronic heart failure.

Who Can Participate?

Age: 18 yrs or older

Sex: Males and Females

Visits: Event driven- 11 visits the first year, then every 4 months thereafter

Stipend: You will be compensated for your time and travel

Diagnosis or Condition: Coronary Heart Failure

Who Can Participate?

Age: 18 years or older

Visits: Every 2 weeks for 3 months, then once or twice monthly
